Betty Lou & Santa



Creating Santa’s and art dolls to me, is an expression of myself. It is always a surprise to me as the unique personality of the character emerges and comes to life right before my eyes.

 I put great care into each one of my dolls and I do not use molds. Each doll is hand sculpted by me from prosculpt clay. I design and sew each costume and use the finest materials, fabrics, mohair, and glass eyes for my dolls.

 


I have studied with Judith Klawitter, and with Jack Johnston,  doll artist, teacher, and founder of The Professional Doll Makers’ Art Guild. Upon completion of this class, I was awarded the title of "Master Artist". I'm also a member of The Professional Doll Makers’ Art Guild.

My dolls have been published in the magazines; Art Doll Quarterly, Contemporary Doll Collector, Doll Crafter & Costuming. Also published in the hardcover printed editions of Better Homes And Garden's Santa Clause Edition, and in Christmas Dolls. I am honored to have been published in these
magazines and books.

I'm always adding new characters to my site, and am available for commissioned pieces as well. So if there is something in your heart you would like, contact me to see if we can bring that to life.
